OUR HISTORY AND OUR MISSION
In 2002 I, Vincenzo Pezzella Dedalus, opened my art studio in Via Pietro Custodi, 18 in Milan.
In 2003 I founded Archivio Dedalus as a cultural association dedicated to contemporary italian poets, I also wrote its statute alongside Maurizio Cucchi, Milo De Angelis, Giorgio Longo, Paola Magi, Giancarlo Majorino, Giampiero Neri, Luigi Olivetti, Giovanni Rubino, Antonio Scarano.
In 2010 I started, along with Paola Magi, our editorial line, which is still running today.
In 2016 I began to catalogue all my works for my artist website and for the website of Archivio Dedalus edizioni.
Inside Archivio Dedalus you’ll find, beside all the literary work, also some graphics and videos dedicated to
To several contemporary Italian poets.
The video production is also one of our areas of interest.
Our main goal is to enhance some never seen before poetic work, which, despite being unpublished,
Must be considered very important for the Italian and European culture.

“Archivio Dedalus”, although has recently started its activity, has already published many high-value operas.
In addition to that, over the last few years, two volumes about two important Italian poets, Giampiero Neri and Luciano Erba, have been released in collaboration with the publishing house “Viennepierre”. Both books come with a DVD containing a video-interview realized by Vincenzo Pezzella. Only after the death of the founder of “Viennepierre”, the collaboration to realize a volume dedicated to Maurizio Cucchi, at the moment has been interrupted. The book is going to be released soon by Edizioni Archivio Dedalus.
Two series; “Saggi Spin” and “Lumen Poesia”, have been created in 2010. The former contains “Caccia al Tesoro di con Marcel Duchamp”, an essay by Paola Magi; and the latter includes “Esercizi vecchi e nuovi”, a collection of poems by Giovanna Bemporad.
Paola Magi’s book is dedicated to Marcel Duchamp, an artist of the twentieth century and creator of the “ready made”, the artistic movement that revolutionized the way of conceiving the art. The book examines closely the literary aspects of the Duchamp’s opera, which are important to understand the genesis. The volume will be traduced in English, French, Spanish and Russian and will be proposed in eBook version.
The new Giovanna Bemporad’s book is revision and enrichment to the first publishing of 60 years ago. It is the first complete edition of its poems, adorned by a rich appendix with witnesses, critical notes and memories of poets and literary men.
Moreover, “Archivio Dedalus” includes some art books that combine two of its three souls: poetry and art. These limited and numbered editions are dedicated to Luciano Erba and Giampiero Neri and are illustrated by Vincenzo Pezzella.
The third soul, perhaps the most important, is the collection of poetry in video. It is represented by a catalogue named “La vita sorpresa” by Vincenzo Pezzella in which are included cine-video operas of the Italian poetry. The publication is expected in autumn 2010 and initiates the series “Idee redshift”. This volume is an absolute novelty in the editorial panorama, since it collects video operas about poetry from 1914 to 2010.
In autumn, four other books will be released: “Il pianista che ascolta con le dita” by Paola Magi in collaboration with “Accaparlantedizioni”, an essay about the relation between sensorial languages and sensorial deprivations; “Metrònivasci” by Vincenzo Pezzella, the opera booklet with the original subject; “Living Carmina & Poesiahabitat EXPO 2015”, the first project realized in occasion of the EXPO 2015 and printed in the series “Quark”; and “L’abate Sugerius. Scritti”, the volume about the Saint Denis abbot in the series “Saggi Spin”.
Edizioni Archivio Dedalus uses the print on demand, an innovative technique to realize titles with literary and intellectual value, intended for niches. Print on demand is an instrument that allows a small publishing house with few means, to publish titles of great value. It realizes a publishing choice with great autonomy, in which quality is at the first place, thanks to the chance of printing even few copies on demand.
Edizioni Archivio Dedalus intends to put into effect accessibility of its publications to people with sensorial deprivations, such as blind and deaf. The way of realizing this kind of accessibility is still to be studied.
